Sometimes, the best way to resolve persistent issues is to start fresh. A factory reset will return your Silo to its original settings, removing Wi-Fi credentials, Alexa connections, and personal configurations.
Factory reset will erase all settings and disconnect your device from Wi-Fi and Alexa.
You can reset your Silo using one of the two methods below. Both are simple and take only a few moments.
Method 1: Reset Using a Pin
Use the physical reset button located on the front-right side of your Silo.
- Locate the reset button on the front-right side.
- Use a pin or paperclip to press it.
- Hold for at least 5 seconds.
- Wait for confirmation on the screen.
Method 2: Reset Using Buttons
You can also reset your device using the Action and Volume buttons.
- Press and hold the Action button (left) and Volume Down button (right).
- Hold both for 5 seconds.
- Wait for the reset confirmation message.
Confirm Reset
- When prompted, press the Volume Up button (green light).
- The reset process will begin automatically.
The reset process may take a couple of minutes. Your device will restart automatically.
What Happens Next?
After the reset is complete, your Silo will reboot and return to its default state.
- Reconnect your Silo to Wi-Fi.
- Re-link your Amazon / Alexa account.
- Complete the setup process again.
